MANAGEMENT & REPORTING STRUCTURE
The Head of Total Rewards will report to the Senior Vice President Human Resources. They will lead a team of compensation, benefits and HRIS staff.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Develop, design and implement all benefit and compensation programs for the company. Develop strategies and programs that support the company’s strategic goals in a cost-effective manner. Plan and direct HRIS strategy implementation and maintenance to meet the company’s ongoing needs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
 Direct, identify and develop innovative and alternative compensation programs for corporate, stores and distribution centers.
 Develop variable pay programs and analyze appropriateness.
 Evaluate and design executive compensation programs.
 Assist senior management in department and organization structure.
 Develop trending and forecasting for compensation and benefit costs.
 Research, develop and maintain long term incentive plans.
 Develop, and benefit programs to meet the needs of the company while remaining cost effective and efficient.
 Develop creative strategies to communicate benefit programs to management and associates.
 Oversee the administration of benefit programs while developing and monitoring budgets for benefits to ensure that benefit programs are efficiently run, including effective vendor management.
 Shared fiduciary responsibility for the 401k program and ensure appropriate documentation and meetings are set to document decisions made on the behalf of participants.
 Ensure government compliance in SPDs, SARs, and 5500s.
 Plan and direct HRIS strategies and design new or modify existing systems to meet changing business requirements.
 Research and analyze appropriate hardware and software to meet the needs of the business.
• Ensure efficient management of associate information, including the new hire associate life cycle and file retrieval process.
Requirements:
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or human resources management.
• 10+ years experience in compensation, benefit and HRIS management.
• Knowledge of benefit programs and regulations, compensation and variable pay programs, employment and other applicable laws.
• Strong PC skills.
• Ability to solve a wide range of complex, multi-disciplinary problems, which must consider short and intermediate, term company-wide planning.
• Ability to compose major reports, policy and procedure manuals, proposals, and brochures.
• Ability to deliver presentations regarding potentially controversial issues, which involves negotiation.
• Ability to develop innovative ideas and solutions of potentially great significance to the company’s future.

Budget Responsibility: Responsible for budget development, expense control and/or revenue generation for a department as well as major budgetary and financial responsibility regarding company benefit and compensation programs.
