Primary responsibility of the Senior Manager – FC will be to lead and guide the Asian innovation unit in the creation of new products, materials, systems, and processes that will make Brooks footwear the most innovative and high-performance product in the industry. He/ She will utilize advanced product and process knowledge, management expertise and network resources to research, develop and drive execution, validation and implementation of new concepts. Will work with cross-functional teams to gather insights, establish goals, create action plans and execute against our critical path and performance standards.
Basic Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and drive the Asic FC product creation team in the creation of new product philosophies and concepts around our footwear, technology, and biomechanics pillars
- Utilize in depth knowledge of advance materials, concepts and manufacturing process to create new innovation to advance the performance of our product, materials, and process.
- Cultivate and grow key relationships and network connections between Brooks Sports and outside resources to assist in the research, validation, creation and production of innovative product concepts (universities, laboratories, vendors and factories).
- Work with the USA and Asia FC teams in the creation, definition and selection of concepts projects that will meet Brooks’ vision and strategic plan. This includes setting the goals, scope, structure and timelines for projects insuring a consistent flow of innovation and development.
- Establish a clear communication process between team, departments, and vendors to educate, review, evaluate, update and drive the decision making process across functions to ensure product integrity during key development and transition phases.
- Work with the commercialization and production teams in the preparation and integration of PFC’s/ SOP’s and “Best Practice” manuals for each new project as it moves from each development phase and into commercialization.
- Manage concepts team in the execution of critical project research, development and validation within the innovation process timelines.
- Lead and mentor the FC Asia team in their personal development by providing opportunities that support personal growth and the necessary guidance needed to prepare them for new and expanded job responsibilities and future advancement.
- Manage assigned budgets across all areas of responsibility.

| Requirements: |
|
1. Bachelor of Science (Masters preferred) in engineering; materials, mechanical, chemical or related
2. 10+ years of experience in the product development of Athletic Footwear typically in development, design, engineering, research and/ or production.
3. 10+ years of experience managing a diverse team across multiple disciplines. Prior management in Asia an advantage.
4. International consumer product manufacturing experience desirable
5. Proven leadership in driving advanced concepts from conception to manufacturing
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences. Mandarin a strong advantage.
